Our History

Phi Chi Theta is a National coeducational Professional Fraternity in Business and Economics. Phi Chi Theta was founded on June 16, 1924 in Chicago, Illinois. The founders were six women from two of the competing business fraternities, Phi Theta Kappa and Phi Kappa Epsilon. These women joined forces to form an organization whose PURPOSE  is:

"To promote the cause of higher business education and training for all individuals, to foster high ideals for everyone pursuing a career in business; to encourage fraternity and cooperation among people preparing for such careers; and to stimulate the spirit of sacrifice and unselfish devotion to the attainment of such ends."

OUR PILLARS

BROTHERHOOD

Each semester we work to create an abundance of events and workshops to help our members in their professional development. We host events such as Pre-Career Fair and Pre-Ice nights, Professional Trips to visit companies, guest speakers, professional development workshops.

Service allows members of Phi Chi Theta the opportunity to give back to the communities in which we develop as future business leaders. Each semester we have various philanthropic events, like theThe Glow Run. New members also participate in an event of their own creation.

Brotherhood and sisterhood are the bonds that join us together in our pursuit of a local & national network. We strive toward making the Phi Chi Theta name a mark of excellence in the business community & Miami University as a whole by making time for our brothers & bringing the chapter together.
